The Art Deco Society of California will be holding our annual How to Gatsby event on Sunday August 2nd, 2026 from 3pm-5pm at the California Historical Radio Society located in Alameda.

How to Gatsby features lectures on what to bring and attire ideas for the Gatsby Picnic held on September 13th. Be sure to catch the fashion show to see Gatsby Picnic outfits in person! There will also be vendors selling Art Deco merchandise for building that perfect outfit and finding accessories for your picnic! Whether you're a newcomer who's never attended the Gatsby Picnic or a long time picnicker, you're sure to have a good time learning about this year's picnic and perusing our vendors for the perfect Gatsby essentials!

The ADSC Member Mixer will be held shortly afterward in the same location, and go until 8pm. (see our events page for more info) Tickets for both events can be purchased separately, or if you'd like to attend both you can purchase discounted "Double Header" tickets. Members receive a discount, so if you are not a member or need to renew, click the Get Involved tab above.
