The Golden Age of Ocean Travel
A Talk by Maritime Historian David Perry
We are honored to welcome our speaker, David Perry, who lectures regularly about the golden age of ocean travel, specifically the Trans-Atlantic liners of the early 20th century. Having circumnavigated the globe by ship during a sabbatical from his marketing and PR firm, he returns to the sea as often as possible. Perry keeps in touch with his active fan base at www.linerlore.com. This lecture will focus on the Art Deco masterpieces of ship travel, and how those designs continue to resonate today.
No-host cocktail hour starts at 3pm; lecture at 4pm.
Admission is $10 for ADSC or Bellevue Club members; $15 for non-members. Pay at the door.
For an optional dinner in the Bellevue Club Dining Room after the program, please phone 510-451-1000 or email reception@bellevueclub.org for reservations. Parking in the Bellevue garage is free – pull into driveway and press the intercom button for entry.
