Little Island - Big Ideas: The Fair that Never Was

  • Main Lobby, Building One, Treasure Island 1 Avenue of the Palms San Francisco, CA 94130 United States (map)

"Little Island - Big Ideas" is a lecture series presented by the Treasure Island Museum Association. If interested, please register for the lecture series. It's optional, but it will help them plan for enough seating and let you know about additional lectures and last minute changes.

Andrew Shanken, Professor of Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley, will be the “Little Island” lecturer for our celebration of the 77th anniversary of the Golden Gate International Exposition. Professor Shanken’s book, Into the Void Pacific: Building the 1939 San Francisco World’s Fair, was published last year.
