“Vamping Through History” – a conversation with Alice Jurow, author of the new novel Vagabond Vamps, an urban fantasy set in the 1930s, and Therese Poletti, author of Art Deco San Francisco.

Alice and Therese will be sharing thoughts on travel, fashion, and culture in the 1930s in the cozy, congenial surroundings of Clio’s. Themes will include the early 20th century fascination with vamps and vampires, the glamour of travel in the 1930s, how the international characteristics of Art Deco style spread across the world, and how immortality might affect one’s choices in fashion and lifestyle.
