Shanghai is the world's largest port and the world’s most populous city. In the 1920s-30s, a building boom resulted in one of the largest collections of Art Deco buildings in the world. Many of these buildings still exist and have uniquely "Chinese Deco" decorative elements.
Randy Juster, well-known photographer and blogger of decopix.com, will discuss the history that led to Shanghai’s Art Deco boom and show photos taken during several visits, including the 2015 World Congress on Art Deco.
